“We’re practically starving out there! Mike ate the last slice of pizza ten minutes ago, I’m pretty sure Lucas is about to die of thirst. And Will is looking at me like I’m a hamburger. We’re talking about cannibalism in at least fifteen minutes.”
If Dustin suspected something he didn’t show it, instead offering Steve a goofy smile before leaving the kitchen. With a fleeting glance back at Steve, Eddie followed after him, arm cradling the six pack of sodas and his own beer in his other hand. The pair left Steve alone in the kitchen, hands still poised as if he was holding the bowl of popcorn; heart racing, head spinning and the past few months of playful banter, slightly rough nudges, heated glances, sleepovers and gentle almost-moments suddenly coming crashing down onto Steve and sending him spiraling.
One hand reached behind himself for his beer as the other gripped the lip of the counter for support.
In the few moments of silence he realized what he’d almost done, what he had wanted to do and just how many times he had wanted it.
Steve Harrington finally realized, in that moment, he very much wanted to kiss Eddie Munson.

“Steve! Open up, it's me Eddie!”
No answer. He huffed, stepping backwards off the porch to look at the windows. There was a window open slightly, curtains flowing with the light breeze that rushed by. Eddie could vaguely see the light of a lamp reflected on the wall of the room behind the window.
Fucking asshole.
This time Eddie knocked harder on the door, his annoyance seeping into the action. He was trying to be a good friend, he was worried! Why is Steve just ignoring him? He’s obviously home! He has to be, because he knows Steve’s family members were too polite to ignore visitors.
“Steve, I know you’re in there, don’t act like you aren't asshole! Come open the fucking door!” He yelled with building impatience.
