Summary
“There’s nothing you can do, Mike.”
Yeah, he thinks. That’s the problem.
“I know,” he concedes. “But I told you: I want to help however I can.”
“You do help,” Will says, simply. “This helps.”A byler-centric season 5 rewrite that actually explores all the character potential and plot lines that the show wasted.

Summary
”It’s like Schrödinger’s Cat; If you open the box, you’ll find that the cat is either dead or alive. But as long as you keep the box closed, then the cat is both dead and alive at the same time because you don’t know the actual truth of what’s inside. Andrew could just ask Neil where they stand with each other, but Andrew’s not sure if he wants to hear the answer. What if Neil rejects him? As cliched as it sounds, Andrew doesn’t think he could handle that. Neil is the first person that Andrew had made a place for in his life after finding Nicky and Aaron. Andrew can’t imagine losing that.
So he’ll keep his thoughts to himself and lock the box tighter.”

Summary
Mike is tired of sharing Will’s attention. After seeing a method online to ensure total devotion, he spends three days secretly lacing Will's food and drinks with his own cum. On the second day, Will finds the search history—the guides on "cockdrunk" states and "chemical conditioning"—and decides to keep drinking anyway.
By the third day, the living room is a blur of sensory overload. Soon, Will is dazed, uncoordinated, and completely dependent on Mike’s touch to stay grounded.
"You saw those tabs on my laptop, and you still drank every drop of that tea this morning, didn't you?" Mike whispered, pinning Will’s wrists to the mattress.
Will's eyes were glazed, pupils swallowed by the haze. "I wanted to be your toy," he whimpered. "Please, Mike. I’m so full of you already... I just need the rest."

Summary
“I just feel… really protected with you?” Will admits, nose and face scrunched up adorably, like it’s something embarrassing. But it’s music to Mike’s ears. “Really safe. And I never really felt that way with Lonnie, so it’s not like—” Will huffs, redirects. “I never liked being babied, but I like… being your baby.” Mike gives a small smile of encouragement, scoots closer on the couch, brushes Will’s hair out of his eyes where it’s getting too long. “I guess when I’m—really out of my head, with you taking care of me? I feel so—um, small. And cared for. Like—”
Like a kid with their dad. Jesus fucking Christ.
Maybe Mike’s face does something weird with the way all the blood is rushing to his dick, because Will goes flushed and mortified again and says, “But I know it’s totally weird and you’re just being nice—”
“Will,” Mike says. “It’s really fucking hot.”
Or, Will calls Mike "daddy" when he's deep in subspace, and Mike has made it his personal mission to draw it out of him again.

Summary
Will touched his cheek in concern. “You okay, Mike?”
Mike managed a jerky nod. “Yeah, fine. You’re just…” He broke off to clear his throat and finally lifted his hands to place them on the small of Will’s back. His skin was smooth and warm. Mike’s thumb moved with the dip in his spine, tracing along the curve. “You know.” Hot and on top of me.
Will smiled, pleased at that. “I do know,” he said loftily, and Mike got the sense he really did, and frequently used it against him to get his way. “But I like it when you tell me.”
Mike wakes ten years in the future, a successful novelist and in a committed relationship with Will.

Summary
“Don’t you remember?” Lucas asked softly. “When we were kids? Like, sixth grade. We all said we’d be in each other’s weddings.” He chuckled. “And Mike called dibs on being my best man, and then you and Dustin started freaking out, because you were both gonna call dibs, so I said you could all do it. Remember? I need all my best men.”
Will puffed out his cheeks, running a hand through his hair. He already hadn’t lived up to that twice now. He’d missed Dustin’s wedding, he hadn’t even been invited to Mike’s (not that he’d expected to be.) This was his last shot.
And something about it seemed final. If he missed this, then that was it. He had no doubt they’d still try to reach out, but it wouldn’t be the same. He would’ve broken something he couldn’t fix.
He sighed.
“Okay.”
Ten years after the end of the world, Lucas and Max get married.
It's a mess.

Summary
Mike stayed behind in Hawkins, and Will’s only one of many who are worrying about him, even seven hundred miles away.
It doesn’t take long for Will to realise that he’s never not going to pick up the phone when Mike is calling. Not even in middle of the night. Not after a few drinks. Not when his boyfriend is due back any minute.
