He barely asked for anything, really, after giving Lestat immortal life, after teaching him how to read, after being the family no one else had ever been for him, after tolerating all of the mistakes Lestat made when he was lonely or impatient…
He swung his legs back off the bench and dropped his pants, feeling guilty that he was making the time between them so difficult.
