Summary
Melody just wanted to get her family’s rite of passage over with and move on to dealing with the normal teenager stuff. High school, her outdoor adventures and helping with her siblings were all part of the plan. Apparently the spirits that came to her during the rite had other ideas.
Now stuck in a world vastly different from her own where a civil war is eminent, she has to contend with dragons and steel as she tries to figure out how to get home. By the end of it of though, will she even want to go home? Or will she come to accept this new place with all its possibilities while she forges her path with fire and magic?
Adventure, romance, tragedy, anguish and comedy all await Melody as she learns how to dance with dragons.

Bree couldn't decide if she wanted to kill her friend or just go home at this point.
When Charlie called her up to ask for her assistance for a reporting trip, she didn't picture it would end up with them running through an ancient temple with soldiers while trying to avoid monsters. But here she was, doing her best to take care of wounded Marines and avoid getting herself killed. She just hoped her little "abilities" would stay hidden long enough for them to get out alive.
After all, given their reaction to Vampires, she didn't know how well they'd take having a witch among them.
