“The diagnosis at this stage is temporarily graded retrograde amnesia.” Remus cut in “They’ve been asking him questions all afternoon to see how far back it goes. Right now it’s looking like it’s a little over three years.”
“So he still thinks - “ Regulus starts.
“ - That you’re a money-hungry psychopath who supported our parent’s fucked business practices and that he could never ever view in a romantic way not only because you are his best friend’s brother but also because every breath you take goes against everything that he stands for?” his brother interrupted. “Yes. He also thinks that he is still with Lily. He kept asking why she wasn’t here.”

Summary
Regulus doesn’t know what’s happening. Is the universe messing with him? Is this the world’s peak comedy? It’s the night, a month after the start of term. He couldn’t sleep so as he does, he goes up to the astronomy tower and then later, James Potter finds himself stumbling there. Drunk with a bottle of firewhiskey, half empty.
“Are you alright, Potter?”
"No"
"Do you want to talk about it?"
"I'm just so... exhausted.
I'm just so tired, you know?" Tears pooled around James’ eyes but they didn’t drop, it’s like he’s stopping them.
