But the trio all stopped listening at that point. Holt found it hard to focus on the beats coursing loudly through his headphones when the only thing he could hear was his own heart beating horrifically fast in his own ears. Frankie sparked, her own mouth open in shock and face contorted in horror. Sydney’s teeth clenched, and brows dipped in fear. She turned quickly to Frankie, desperation clear in her expression.
“Go home. Now.”
Frankie sat still, unable to process Sydney’s words and the announcement at the same time.
“Run, Frankie, go!”

The best Monster High fic I've ever read, and arguably one of the best fanfics I've ever read. It's everything Monster High comics aspire to be. I love Jackson and Franki in this one, btw.

Only… he’s half-right. Damian has been Marked by a vampire—but not to kill him.
He should have listened to his training, when they told him that vampires are dangerous beasts. That they will do whatever it takes to bring a hunter to his knees.
Damian never, not once, imagined this.
