Karkat Vantas has traversed 5 out of 12 worlds in search for the next Denizen to kill in order to have a slight chance of bringing his friends back from the dead. In that time, 7 years have passed and he's felt like shit ever since he made that oath with one of the Denizens, Phaethon. He's gotten a lot better at surviving the hellish depths of each Denizen's cave, though it helps to be tied to an unshakable promise he made all those years ago. While he's on planet number 6, Tavros' old stomping grounds, he receives a message for the first time in years from an unknown person who seems to be playing the same game as he is. Though his circumstances are wildly different from Karkats.OR

Summary
Clover is dead.
And yet, he persists.
Unable to let himself fall into the unknown that is death, his soul clings to a facsimile of life, trapped in darkness with nothing but his thoughts and time to reflect and ponder. He will not, cannot move on, even when there is nothing left for him in this world. No body, and no hope of returning home. No hope of reuniting with his friends.

Now stuck in an Underground he does not recognize with only his trusty four-shooter and a friend he can’t trust, Clover searches for his friends, the voice who called for help, and answers. Retracing his path through the Underground, and forging a few new ones as well, Clover battles his thoughts, suspicions, and memories of events that never occurred, but won’t quite leave him either.

Summary
The barrier was shattered and monsterkind finally got their freedom, but what of the humans that came before?
They deserve a happy ending too.
But with so little power left remaining after destroying the barrier, a half-measure would have to be taken.
Better than nothing, right? And for some of them, much more preferable to how they were before and certainly during their deaths.
The Sixth and final SOUL is the last to awaken, and by that point, things have been quiet in the Underground for quite a while.
But there is still one more thing to be done, one more person to save, and in many ways they're tied to that Sixth SOUL as well as the Underground's self proclaimed caretaker.
A second chance and a happier life awaits Clover and Kanako if they can just grasp it.

(I have waited over six years for the author to update, I accept they have moved on, but like Plato to Socrates, I can not just let this fic die. I wrote most of this cont' like 3 years ago and So I will upload as much as I have done and work from there, deltarune reminded me. not my first time writing a fic but it is my first time writing on a03 so expect issues, I will update formatting frequently. Summary
