The two had to make a quick decision which led to a row of unfortunate events all after another, which seemed to were bound to happen the further they continued their journey to learn and stay safe with one another.Things just don't always end well. Even inhuman things could figure that out, right?

Summary
When Chuuya awoke, a familiar pair of amber eyes was staring into his own like most mornings.
He was well aware of the fact Dazai was a light sleeper – if he slept at all, that is – so he’d gotten used to the sight greeting him. It had become somewhat of a comfort if he was honest, getting the immediate confirmation he wasn’t alone the moment he opened his eyes.
Confirmation that he hadn’t been left behind or abandoned.
Again.
With a small smile, Chuuya moved to press a kiss against Dazai’s lips, choosing not to let such negative thoughts ruin his morning. The other hadn’t given him any indication he had plans to leave again, so there was no need to worry this much.
As a matter of fact, they were actually doing quite well lately.

Or: Chuuya hires Poe to write novels about Dazai after his death. While it's not the worst coping mechanism in existence, it's certainly not the healthiest either.

But slowly, the embarrassment fades. Because Ranpo realises something that day, something that makes his brain stir with a very unfamiliar emotion that he thinks is called 'longing'.
Poe is so much more brilliant than Ranpo could have ever imagined.
