   Summary

   Bella Swans great grandfather Ephraim Black passed the shifter gene down to her, making her his eldest descendant. After being abandoned by the Cullens, her first phase is triggered, and she joins Sam’s pack. Together she and the pack learn to grow and heal, until news from Seattle reaches them. The Cullens return months later than they should, expecting to find a fragile, human Bella in need of their protection. Instead they find a pack of shifters hellbent on keeping them as far away from their Beta as possible. Things go from bad to worse when Bella meets Rosalie’s eyes.
