Summary

Cas just huffs.
“You’re not heavy.”
Well that’s a fucking lie, but Dean isn’t one to look a gift horse in the mouth, so he burrows closer instead of arguing the point, shamelessly burying his nose against Cas’ warm skin.
Home. Even after three years apart he still smells like home.

“I used to selfishly indulge in it whenever you touched me like that in the past. There were only very few moments, but sometimes when I got hurt and you…you were caring for me and I used to think that these small moments are completely worth whatever pain I’ve been going through.”
“That’s stupid”, Dean mumbles and brushes his thumb over Cas’s forehead where a drop threatens to run down into his eyebrows, “You’re stupid.” Somehow the words come out affectionate.
Cas makes a considerable noise.
“I heard that love does that to people.”
