Though he scowls in a virginal shame when Aki, Haruki, and Mafuyu share crass jokes around their stuffy studio, his worry is too great for his heart.It's not aptitude. It's not endurance. The shadow between them is tall like a mountain and cold like snow.
Ritsuka wonders if Mafuyu sees him everywhere too. Behind his own body in mirrors, holding him the same way he did in photographs. In the checkered pattern of his winter scarf. In the intimate folds of his skin between his legs. In the hollow of his throat.

No matter how much he tried to hide his face from Suo, they always gave him away in the end and it filled Suo with pride, seeing that this was all his doing.
