hanahaki disease (noun); "a disease caused by unrequited love during which a flowering plant takes root in the victim's lungs, causing them to cough up flower petals. It can be cured when the object of the victim's affections returns their romantic feelings, or through surgical procedures. Failure to remove the flowers results in the victim's death."
Twilight knows three things. One, he’s in love with Yor. Two, he coughed up a handful of rose petals the day after acknowledging that he was in love with Yor. These two points lead to point three, which is that he likely has hanahaki disease. The price for loving your wife really shouldn't be this high.
