    From childhood to middle school, two boys could never seem to fit together. A green-haired boy kept reaching out, and a blonde-haired boy kept pushing him down. The more he shouted, the more the world called him “cool.” The more he hurt, the more the world applauded. And between them grew silence, resentment, and a distance too wide to cross.

    Then, one day in high school, during sophomore year—the blonde was simply gone. Rumors replaced answers. Years slipped past.

    Until college. Sophomore year again. A new student entered, the blonde. He had come back to the other’s life—changed, quieter, and blind.

    Midoriya didn’t know what to do. He still carried the weight of old wounds, the ache of being left behind. Should he talk to him? Should he stay away? But fate answered for him—when Midoriya accidentally tripped Bakugo in the hallway, headphones blaring, books scattering across the floor. He reached out instinctively, apologizing, only for Bakugo to freeze at the sound of his voice.

    It wasn’t the first meeting Midoriya wanted, but it was the one they got. And when a group project forced them together, resentment gave way to uneasy conversation, and conversation to something like understanding.
