Claire’s husband has abandoned her and their daughter, Faith, because he is unable to handle her diagnosis of nonverbal autism. In order to start a new life, Claire has taken Faith to New York. Desperate for some kind of breakthrough in Faith’s treatment, she decides to try horse therapy, where she meets Jamie Fraser, Faith’s assigned hippotherapist. Claire is overwhelmed and touched by Jamie’s dedication to his work, and his particular dedication to her daughter.

Summary
This came out of a One Shot One Quote challenge and took on a life of it's own. I’ve had the idea for a while and only wanted to do a one shot, but the challenge gave me the push to actually write it.
Quote is: The sun glinted off his red mane and lit the tiny soft hairs that created his spine, running down to the reddish-gold fuzz that dusted his buttocks and thighs, and deepened into the thicket if soft auburn curls that showed briefly between his spread legs.
The Summary is:
Claire Beauchamp is sick of dating, sick of dressing up, of fake laughing at jokes that aren't funny with men who think they are better than they are. Geillis thinks it's because she's not being herself, so she challenges Claire to go on a date unapologetically as herself. Summary
Everyone knew a couple of things about Mrs. Beauchamp.
She taught on campus three days a week while the rest was spent doing selected surgeries in a renowned hospital in London. She was a former combat nurse. She was also the first woman enrolled at Harvard Medical, in Boston, back in the late forties, and one of the few practising cardiology in the world these days. Other than these pieces of information, not much else about the Oxford professor was known to Jamie.
Except for the fact that Claire Beauchamp was twenty years his senior.
