“Lucanis,” Neve began. “Have you noticed anything different about our leader lately?”
He shrugged. “Should I?” he replied before taking a sip, relishing in the decadence of the brew.
Neve’s lips quirked in amusement. “Well, she is our leader. We should pay some attention to her, shouldn’t we?”
Lucanis sighed, tapping the rim of his Antivan cup—a gift from Rook he could never quite part with, alongside his wyverntooth dagger. Thankfully, Neve never voiced any concerns about his attachment to the trinkets.
“What is this about, Neve?” he was exasperated by the conversation already.
Her smirk deepened, and she leaned forward conspiratorially. “Rook seems to be happier lately, don’t you think? I wonder if it has something to do with her weekly late night excursions?”
___________Rook may have a new lover, and Lucanis isn't exactly taking to the idea well. In his determination to unveil the identity of her new paramour, he learns so much more about Rook than he bargained for.

It's been five months since the Battle of Minrathous. Thedas is recovering from the destruction of the Evanuris and the Blight. Treviso, especially, is rebuilding at a rapid pace after suffering from the blighted dragon attack.Lucanis is going through the motions as First Talon of the Antivan Crows, doing what is expected of him but detached from his current reality. It isn't until he finds out that Rook is missing that he begins to reevaluate what it means to be a Crow and a Dellamorte.
And Rook? She's as alone as she's always been. Just as she was before Varric and Harding dragged her on a quest to stop Solas. She just didn't expect it to be so hard this time around.
