“Before you leave class, don’t forget that ‘The Search’ will be starting this afternoon and you must pick up your letter from principal bumps office,” A murmur of excitement washed over the drab class room and Luz leaned forward, confused and intrigued, to listen to the teacher, “This is not optional, all of your year must participate, dismissed!”
Immediately, Luz is running down the hexside halls searching for her friends, Willow and Gus, so she can ask them what ‘The Search’ is. Another strange boiling isles version of a school event? Grom sounded like Prom, but ‘The Search’ doesn’t really sound like anything. As Luz ambles along she overhears many of the groups of students talking about ‘The Search’ in thrilled tones. Whatever ‘The Search’ is, it must be good!
