Summary
For as long as Gintoki had been a hybrid (his whole life), he had never once considered himself lucky for being born this way.
All of his problems stemmed from a common source. Experiencing life in such an unfulfilling way— lacking any kind of control that desperately longed for— Gintoki couldn't help but feel a little down. He hadn’t seen a single perk of being a hybrid from the moment he was born, it being a nuisance, a death sentence looming over his his head and ruining his life that he had no choice but to to accept.
Tossed around by an underground hybrid trafficking ring, Gintoki leads a bleak life, constantly being handed over for the highest price. That is, until the Shinsengumi raids the operation, and a certain mayo-loving bastard is assigned to watch over him.
Will Gintoki's distrust of humans be able to outlive Hijikata's relentless "devotion?"
