The first month after the Promised Day had been a blur for the Elric brothers. A flurry of highs and lows, of emotions and new experiences for the first time in five years. By month three, there was a noticeable decline in the health of Alphonse Elric’s newly regained body.
“Brother?” he whispered, like he had a secret, like he did when they were little kids up after bedtime, afraid their mom would catch them out of bed. “I want to see the ocean.”
