Summary
The world turned into scent and sound and sensation. After placing the scents around me, I could smell Bruno instantly, that warm cinnamon musk of his. Once I placed him he barked from his cage calling for my attention, tail thumping against the bars. He was eager. Hopeful.
But my wolf didn’t move. She didn’t spare him more than a fleeting glance, and instead of focusing on him, she sat down.
Not in boredom. Not in hesitation. But in quiet, heavy disappointment. Her golden eyes, MY golden eyes, flicked to Bruno once. Then away. No spark. No yearning. No tether. No irrevocable change or pull.
Instead we tilted our head, searching, trying to catch a whiff. Not for our pack. Not for freedom. Not for the unexplored grounds surrounding Nevermore.For her.

Which left her where she was currently in, sitting on her side of the room staring morosely at the other empty side.
The air itself seemed heavier, and the silence pressed down on Galinda’s chest like an unbearable weight, or maybe that was just regret. -

Wednesday crouched down, her pale fingers tracing the edges of the trapdoor before finding the rusted metal ring that served as its handle. She pulled it open, the hinges screaming in protest. A dark, gaping hole yawned beneath her, and a wooden ladder descended into the abyss, its rungs slick with moisture and coated in a thin layer of grime.
On her way down, the wood splintered with a deafening crack, and she plunged downward, the cold air rushing past her as she fell. She landed hard on the ground below, the impact jarring and unforgiving.
“How pathetic,” she muttered, wincing as she sat up and assessed her injuries. Her left ankle throbbed, likely sprained, and her ribs ached with every breath. The end of the hole she had fallen into was deep and narrow, with walls too slick to climb.
Fortunately, she wasn’t alone. Thing had accompanied her, the disembodied hand tapping out an anxious rhythm on the ground."Thing, make yourself useful and go get help.”

Summary
She finally achieved becoming one with her wolf, the transformation having cemented the connection between Human/Wolf, so it all pointed out to be the beginning of an amazing summer.
She didn't count on the enormity of the feelings her wolf would make her go through at having found her mate at the worst timing possible, whilst fighting for her and her roommates life against the Hyde.
So now that she's back in Nevermore, she's going to try and not give into the feelings Wednesday inspires on her wolf, least she scared her or push her away with her intensity, and after all, wasn't Wednesday the one that said feelings were beneath her?
If only her wolf agreed to this.
