He fucked up, there's no way in hell Hyunjin keeps this a secret. No way this doesn’t come back to bite him. His parents will find out. They’ll be furious. He’s ruined everything. When Jeongin returns to the library, his steps are hesitant. Hyunjin is seated again, flipping idly through a book like nothing happened. He looks up when Jeongin enters.
"I didn't mean to scare you," Hyunjin says quietly. He stands, and makes his way in front of Jeongin once more, His hand lifts, thumb brushing gently under Jeongin’s eye, wiping away a tear Jeongin hadn’t even noticed falling. "I won't tell anyone," he whispers.
"I'm a beta…" Jeongin tries weakly, "I swear to you…I am."
"You're not." Hyunjin smiles, "But you want people to think you are, and I will respect that, okay?"

Jeongin has lived his entire life wrapped up in a lie of his parents design, a carefully constructed and long term solution to their biggest failure; that is until Hwang Hyunjin shows up in his life, and starts peeling away at the slowly lifting edges.

Summary

“Did you see where Jeongin went? He seemed kind of out of it.” The first spoke, stepping their way past the stall where the subject of the conversation was.
“He’s always out of it,” The other intruder stated, “And for fucks sake Hyunjin, you need to stop worrying about him. How many times do I have to tell you to stay away from that asshole?”
“God, I know Jisung. Is it so bad to be worried, especially considering our history?” The first, Hyunjin, bit back rather sharply.

Summary
“This,” Hyunjin says finally, voice smooth, almost bored, “will be 9913’s replacement.” He begins to pace, slow circles around the room, around him. “He’s smarter than all of you,” Hyunjin continues. “Faster. He’ll make every one of you look like a pack of script-kiddies playing in a sandbox.”
“Awe, baby, no need to stroke my dick like that,” the man shoots back, grin sharp and unrepentant.
Hyunjin stops in front of his office doors. The twelve men in the room look to him, waiting. His gaze drops to the prisoner in the chair, his voice lowering to something colder, something that cuts through the air like a wire.
“But just because he’s smarter,” Hyunjin says, “doesn’t mean he’s useful.”
He leans forward slightly, eyes narrowing.
“And what happens when you’re useless to me?”
