“Today, exactly one year ago, the new history of Erebor began,” Thorin was saying, making Bilbo furrow his brow as he wondered how a feast less than a year old could be considered a tradition for the dwarrows. Had Thorin made fun of the hobbits’ views on food, inventing an excuse to justify a banquet? Bilbo would have words with the foolish king. “Exactly one year ago, in fact, a Maiar placed a rune on the door of a hobbit, sending the dwarrows of my Company to his doorstep.”
Bilbo blinked, feeling a lump form in his throat as he realised that Thorin was looking him straight in the eye.
“I am grateful that the elves and men could join us in celebrating the Gabil San Bâhel,” Thorin bowed his head towards Thranduil and Bard, “and I am deeply grateful that he himself is still here after a year, not only reclaiming the home from a dragon, but also making it worthy of being called home.”

The Heroes invited the one and only Black Hat to a meeting in such a place. At first, the answer was obvious; no.
But after some serious thought, and months of agonizing over possible threats, with the help of one scientist, Black Hat decided to attend, anything but idly.TL;DR; Flug and Black Hat attend a meeting with heroes and other big bad villains in a city known for it's neutrality.

Harry sat down, his face, scarred with purple lines, pointed directly at Snape. "Did you scream?"

"Liar!" Harry was livid. "You would have never, ever screamed!"
