Summary
He laughs as he hooks his finger underneath her bra strap, stinging her skin when he pulls at it, letting it snap against her. High School kinda shit.
But it is, isn’t it? She thinks to herself. High School shit.
Life kinda shit.
Like I’m-having-his-baby kinda shit, she thinks.
His hand somehow finds her stomach. It just sits. And rests. The baby does the complete opposite - ceaseless.
She knows he’s lying on the floor next to her, pinpointing every single lyric to a Steve Lacy song and somehow forcing it to mean something - about her. Fitting a square in a circle.

“The heat’s unbearable,” she says, feeling a bead of sweat run down her neck.
“Do you have no regard for Icarus?”
No, she thinks. Not when he’s been warned…
“Is he, you?” She asks for the first time.
Jughead smiles, circles on her skin. Dances in her stomach. “Perhaps. But you’re most definitely the sun… unforgiving. Melting my wings."
