Castiel likes his life in DC, with his chosen family. He doesn't like to think about Lawrence, or its residents. But after some reflection, he feels he owes it to his old friend Sam to show up to his engagement party and explain that leaving Lawrence had nothing to do with Sam, and everything to do with Sam's cocky older brother who broke Castiel's heart.
