    Summary

"Maybe there’s a place somewhere…where blood is raining on Crystal Mountain … and the Painkiller still rides across the sky …

Indeed, there was such a place—a place where the dreams of a thousand songs had gathered and taken bodily form."

The characters and places from heavy metal songs, like the Painkiller, the Stargazer, and the Universal Soldier, are gathered in a pocket dimension -- even when heavy metal has been outlawed by the government. No-Name (The Universal Soldier) wanders through the Song-Dream pocket dimension, seeking to find his lost identity, and where he comes from.

Inspired by "The Exiles" by Ray Bradbury, "The Velveteen Rabbit," and numerous metal songs.

The title translates to 'Brighter Than A Thousand Suns'.
Erik has a tin box no bigger than a shoe box with all that he holds dear and simultaneously hates with a passion.
He keeps his passport in there, the coin, his knife, which he brought back from Argentina, his gun, a piece of blue and white striped fabric wrapped around a lock of hair – Magda, he thinks and his heart aches – and on the bottom, underneath a much thumbed postcard of Lady Liberty, tucked away from prying eyes and fingers, lies a yellow star with a pink triangle sewn over it.
