Summary
Caitlyn regrets hitting and leaving Vi in the ventilation system after their fight with Jinx and Sevika. Months pass and she decided to finally go look for Vi, even if only to make sure she’s not dead somewhere. Caitlyn wasn’t expecting to find her in a fighting ring or so intoxicated. She also didn’t quite expect someone else to ask for her help.
Healing and regaining trust both take time. For everyone.

Summary
Vi closed her eyes, hoping that this was just a dream and she would wake up in Caitlyn's arms. Maybe she had returned from the Firelights base later than expected and not been there to help her prepare dinner, maybe this was all just an indigestion induced nightmare.
As the sheer exhaustion and need for sleep overtook her, Vi's last thoughts were that Caitlyn would prefer this timeline too.
