Summary
Stiles wakes at 2:47 AM to find Peter Hale bleeding in his bed. Peter won't explain why he's there. He won't explain what he wants. He just breathes in the scent of Stiles like it's the only thing keeping him alive then disappears out the window before Stiles can get any real answers.
Four weeks pass. Stiles almost convinces himself it was a one-time thing.
Then Peter comes back.

Summary
Peter dies, leaving Stiles alone. The problem aside from dying- during their marriage, Peter had taken care of anything, spoiling and worshipping Stiles. Stiles hadn’t needed to do anything, like pay bills or worry about insurances as Peter took care of everything in their everyday life. Peter left everything to Stiles in his will- every cent of his money is now Stiles. And Peter is barely in the ground when Scott asks after the money.

Summary
Peter's existence after the fire was one of constant agony. Wolfsbane and mountain ash had infused with the smoke of the fire into his wounds, and he was unable to heal at all. Until one day something changed. A stranger with an inexplicable pack bond came to him, and had knowledge no living person should possess. As Peter becomes fully aware, healing and largely rid of his pain for the first time in almost a year, he finds the man who's saved him has a startling purpose, and he and what's left of his pack are needed to prevent what's coming, what this stranger says is coming.
