Summary
Sand and a weird smelling smoke filled the area where Kurosaki fell. Bastastard. It’s what he got for being a fucking idiot.
The wind carried most of the smoke and sand away, yet Kurosaki hadn’t said a word. That was Grimmjow’s first cue that indicated something wasn’t right. And Grimmjow doesn’t need more than a single cue.
“Oi, Kurosaki.”
Making his approach now that most of the smoke was gone, Grimmjow scanned his surroundings–
– Only to find a small lump with orange hair and big brown eyes boggling out of its skull, looking at Grimmjow with what could only be fear. Thing couldn’t be older than 9 years old. Bundled up in his oversized shinigami robes, cluctching them with pure terror, there he was: Kurosaki Ichigo.
Who began to bawl his eyes out.

After finally defeating Aizen, Ichigo is left powerless and alone. Crumbling away slowly as his lack of power eats at him, a chance encounter throws Ichigo's life out of his monotonous routine and into the path of Grimmjow, changing its course for the better.
