Summary
Kurogiri survives the final battle. His breakthrough on the battlefield had given people a renewed hope that Shirakumo could be restored at least in part to who he was. Through medical treatment and help from Mic and Aizawa, he is able to regain memories of who Shirakumo was. The issue is that if he wants to become Shirakumo again, he would have to give up everything he built as Kurogiri. Is it worth giving up the life he built and the child he cared for to fight for a life that no longer feels like his?

Kurogiri has to figure out how to balance the life he once lived and the friends he once loved against the relationship he built with Shigaraki

Izuku closes the notebook and sets it to the side. His legs dangle off the roof, his hands grip the edge a little tighter, and Izuku comes to terms with his own death. It was always inevitable, wasn’t it? From the moment he was diagnosed quirkless, he was always going to die by his own hand. He was never going to make it in life. He cries over kitten videos, for heaven’s sake, how could he ever think he was cut out for heroism?

Kurogiri bodyswaps with Shirakumo before his death. Now stuck in the past with a new body, Kurogiri tries to learn how to adapt while also trying to find his way back to Shigaraki. But the more he digs, the closer he gets to unraveling the truth.
