Summary
A Persona 5 retelling where the Phantom Thieves are joined in their mission by the main trio of Pale as their mysterious guides. No familiarity with Pale required.
Just as he arrives in Tokyo, Ren Amamiya encounters three unusual girls. They are practitioners, witches who wield occult powers but cannot lie. That night, when he dreams of a long-nosed man, these three appear before him and warn him not to be fooled by the pretender before him. They offer him another path: refuse the pretender's manipulations and accept their guidance on his journey instead. The dream ends with a new contract signed.
With these mysterious allies by their side the Phantom Thieves may yet have a chance of beating this cruel game... but how safe are their secrets with allies that can never lie?
For Persona fans, this work is the recommended entry point for its series! There are minimal Pale spoilers, and anything relevant will be explained. Pale fans are recommended to read Blood-Red Justice first.

The Velvet Room reaches through time to recruit three magical experts to attend to their next guest through his many adventures and trials. These three are the witches Lucy Ellingson, Avery Kelly, and Verona Hayward. They are tasked with working as mysterious guides and supporters, using their experience to offer guidance and power to their trickster guest throughout his journey.
But when a dark force emerges to invade the Velvet Room and subvert its purpose, the girls narrowly escape capture by fleeing to the staging grounds of the very conflict they were meant to observe. Armed with knowledge of the invader's plot, but stranded in the past and removed from their allies, the Witches of Kennet must prepare themselves for their new duties as assistants to the Trickster, so that they might guide him to overcome a rigged game.
