    In Notes to the Underground, Raph is the first taken by the Underground Mage, rather than Donnie. And while Donnie had felt fit to answer the old man's questions, Raph was far less cooperative. So the Mage leaves him in the crystallization chamber as it does what it's programed to do, turn things human. Raph is relieved when the change doesn't last past the exit of the city, figuring he can leave the entire thing behind him. But, unfortunately for him, it's not so easily left in the past.

    Or, the underground mage turns Raph human (somewhat temporarily) and now he has to deal with stuff.
