“Oh hey, Chara!” Asriel happily exclaimed as he noticed them, trotting over to them with a smile on his face. “How are you holding up?” he asked, a concerned smile on his face.
“…I’m fine,” Chara said slowly. “What are you wearing?”
Asriel blinked, looked down at his outfit, and then back to Chara with a confused look on his face. “Uh, a suit?” he answered with a questioning inflexion. “I know you don’t usually come to these, but I have to dress pretty fancy at these parties. As funny as it would be, Mom would never let me come in my sweater, even if it wasn’t as old as it was.”
“Don’t play dumb with me, Ree,” Chara deadpanned. “Why are you wearing Frisk’s suit?”
“Thought I’d try something new,” Asriel shrugged. “Plus, I think red looks pretty good on me, don’tcha think?” Chara gave Asriel a deadpan look, crossing their arms and leaning their head forward slightly. “What?”
“So are we just gonna pretend like you weren’t wearing a completely different outfit before?” Chara asked.
