    Part 1: Xie Lian POV
    Xie Lian finally feels at ease settling into his new life as the King’s Mate. He’s elated about the upcoming wedding and their future life together. He thinks dealing with the trials and tribulations is worth it, until his San Lang goes missing and his world is turned upside down in his efforts to find his husband.

    Part 2: Hua Cheng POV
    Just after Hua Cheng and his entourage start their journey home, he sees something that promises to be nothing but trouble for his kingdom. Deciding to eliminate the threat then and there leads Hua Cheng to discover more about himself and his country than he ever wanted to know.

    Part 3: Xie Lian POV
    Dealing with the aftermath of everything left Xie Lian feeling overwhelmed, but he quickly realises that, the more things had changed, the more they stayed the same, especially in regards to his now bonded mate. Hua Cheng certainly changed a lot during his absence, but his personality and love for Xie Lian are still as steadfast and deep as they always had been. Despite the trauma their family needs to overcome, Xie Lian just knows that they will be fine eventually.
