Summary
The Lamb tries to play at being a mortal after a crusade goes bad. An usurper seeks to overthrow them as they are in the hospital. For the first time in one hundred and fifty years, the Lamb is forced to flee their home with all their followers in tow with no idea when they will be able to return. However, the Lamb didn't become the Butcher of the Old Faith because they gave up easily, and they will do whatever it takes to ensure the safety of their flock.

Summary
After being overthrown by the Lamb, Narinder is forced to relearn how to live as a mortal. Stripped of his godhood, he clings to his intellect and the remnants of his magic to survive. Yet the world has changed fundamentally during his imprisonment, and adapting to this new reality proves to be a constant struggle. Still, he might not be the most broken one.

In which the Lamb trusts Narinder (for whatever reason), the Crown apparently is a matchmaker, and Narinder enjoys being as contrary as possible, including acknowledging his feelings.
