Summary
Robby always remembered the man who studied with him in med school. He’d first met him at a bar dancing freely like nothing could hurt him. He saw him pick up another man and leave with him and envied the courage he had. When he saw him in his medical course he picked up the courage to get with him.
Abbot always remembered the wounded man he'd picked up in the Desert. A British soldier who had escaped captivity. He’d helped nurse him to health. And soon the two became entangled.
Robby always wondered what happened to the man, he just disappeared one day. Abbot wished he didn’t know what happened to the Brit.
So when a med student appeared looking like the man they both lost it’s too good to be true.
Dennis just wants to die. Hopefully when he’s not undead. So why does he have to spend this last hurrah tortured by the only people he’s ever loved.

Dennis is a suicidal vampire trying to die as a human. And on his last attempt the two attendings from his past are put on his path .

Summary
Dennis had cut too deep. He didn't know why he even did it, nothing hugely horrific happened.
He needed to get medical attention, he couldn't go to PTMC though. The staff were basically family, and him being hurt would spread like wildfire.
That's how he found himself walking to a different hospital, even if it took hours more than the singular hour it would be to PTMC. What he didn't expect was to see a familiar face, even basically all the way across town.

Summary
Dennis had to move out when Trinity asked too many questions. Everyone thinks he's being abused. He can't really reveal he's the masked vigilante swinging through the city.
He can heal anyway so no worries. Well, he could if he was eating and sleeping enough. Now his money is going to his shitty apartments rent. He can barely eat enough for a normal person, let alone for his superhuman metabolism. And he's got two full time jobs, there's no time to sleep.
He should've realised how worn down he was before he went on patrol. Now he's injured and has to deal with the consequences he wrought.

Dennis was the one who hurt, Whitaker was the one who lived. The two had to be separate, his past couldn't touch his present and the life he was making. No matter the hooks it cast.
When the past comes to take its pound of flesh from the present can Dennis and Whitaker remain separate. Or will the mask break and the pain only unhinge its jaw and devour him whole.
