“You put too much work on your plate again, didn’t you?” Sero accused, glancing over his shoulder as Eijirou sat down. “Seriously, dude, you look exhausted.”
“No, no,” Eijirou shook his head. “Well, I have a lot of work, yeah, but that’s not what I’m stressed about.”
Sero raised his eyebrows. “Really?” he said in a tone that told him he didn’t quite believe that. “What’s got you so twisted up, then?”
As if right on cue, Eijirou’s phone buzzed in his pocket. He stiffened, then pulled it out with care, heart pounding in his chest. It had to be him.
Bakugou: oooh NOW you want to talk?
Eijirou’s heart sank. He couldn’t help but let out a mournful groan, then he placed the phone between himself and Sero. His head hit the bar and he rested there, avoiding his friend’s critical eyes.
“Yeesh,” Sero cringed audibly. “Trouble in paradise?”__________________________________________

Katsuki's earliest memories are of warm hands wrapped around his body. He's known since the ripe age of kindergarten that some fruits are picked early, but just like the seedling apple severed from the branch, Katsuki stopped living when he was six years old, when the first woman to ever love him—his kindergarten teacher—sank her teeth into his flesh and left the rest of him to rot between the bugs and blades of grass.
Or maybe it was when he was seven, when his first-grade teacher showed him what it meant to have something worth living for—even if it was sick and demented—and then lose it in its entirety.
Or maybe it was when he was nine, when fourth-grade rolled around and he learned that fire is warm from afar, but scorches and devours from up close; when he learned that warm hands can easily turn violent; when not just his parents found out what had been done to him, but Deku, too.

Right after catws, Bucky shows up at Steve's apartment. He is convinced that Steve is his handler and that he must do anything to please him. Steve thinks that his best friend is back and misses all the red flags. They slowly enter into a relationship where Bucky is just desperately trying not to be "punished" by his new handler and Steve has no idea anything is wrong (+ Bucky hates sex and thinks Steve makes them have it as a way to punish Bucky). Lots of bad stuff happens but Bucky goes to therapy and everything works out in the end.
