Din felt himself building up to the question on his tongue. Paz spoke as if he’d met her. Instead, he tore another strip of meat apart, handing half to Grogu who was still listening, curiosity shining in his big, brown eyes. Finally, Paz sighed, “the Bo-Katan Kryze you have brought to our Covert is not the same woman I grew up with.”
This time Din did speak, unable to hold himself back. “You knew Bo when you were young?”

Summary
Din thought of everything they’d achieved in the last few months, of how his life had changed so drastically. From the moment he’d shown Grogu Mandalore from the cockpit of the N1 to them sat on their home planet; the entire journey had changed him, physically and emotionally. Din knew that he wouldn’t change a second of it. His hand settled softly on his son’s back, feeling the boy breath under his palm, his head nestled on Bo-Katan’s leg, safe and secure between them. That would be one of the things he would change he knew. He’d called Grogu his son for so long, but officially he wasn’t officially his.

The blade at her hip had never responded to him the way it did her, had never felt like his despite him winning it from Gideon, especially not when he’d watch Bo handle it with ease, the blade moving with purpose when she used it. He wouldn’t deny some jealousy when she tried to teach him how to wield it, weapons had always come easily to him, never had he struggled to master one and as the weeks went by it reinforced his stance. The Dark Saber didn’t answer to him. He’d always known it belonged to her.

Summary
Din knew Grogu could be persistent when he wanted something. Much of this behavior is his fault, he’s too indulgent sometimes especially after the kid chose him over Skywalker, and until now it has never been a problem. He could afford to spoil the kid a little bit.
Sort of became a problem when they started to spend so much time around Bo-Katan.
