Summary
The bathroom light flicked on, buzzing faintly as the aged bulb struggled to wash the room in a sickly, pale yellow light. Jason Todd glared at himself in the grimy, dust covered mirror that hadn't seen Windex in years, and his reflection peered back, dark bruises burrowed under his eyes, poorly bandaged scrapes throbbed from a patrol gone south, and fiery red roots peeked out from under his greasy black mop of hair. A weak sigh passed through his lips. It was the last thing he wanted to do after the graveyard patrol shift: dye his hair. But one more glance in the mirror, and the hair on the back of his neck stood on end, like a startled cat. Jason knew the broken, bleeding, red-haired child in a dead boy's suit staring at him with dead eyes, laying limp in the bathtub would follow him until the job was done. The red always showed it's face eventually. No matter how many times Jason drowned it in black dye, it never stayed dead. It always bled back into the miniscule sense of security he'd manage to grasp with unsteady hands.

A little twist on the last episode, delving into the unused opportunity for Alastor angst. Plus what I'd imagine would happen afterwards.
aka Alastor is injured after the battle with Adam, and turns out wounds from angelic weapons take much longer to heal than expected. Not to mention how difficult it is for him to process just how badly this deal he made has weakened him. (I suck as summaries...)
