Montreal Metros President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Jean-François Roy announced today the team has placed forward Shane Hollander on unconditional waivers for the purposes of terminating his contract.
Hollander, captain of the Metros, has logged 98 points (36 goals, 62 assists) in 71 games played for Metros this season. Overall, the Ottawa native has amassed 1,751 points (653 goals, 1,098 assists) in 1,413 games played, all with the Montreal Metros.
GM Roy said that there would be no further comment or speculation from the Metros and that the coaching staff and remaining players would not be available for the media today.
