    Summary

After accidentally running afoul of a witch in Antigua, Tom finds himself afflicted with a terrible curse, the first step toward breaking which is to find himself a wife; the last person he has in mind as a potential bride is his indigent, creepmouse cousin, Fanny Price, but when he realises his family is trying to pressure her into marrying Henry Crawford (and she apparently doesn't want to), he sees an opportunity for a mutually beneficial arrangement.

If she marries him instead, and breaks his curse, he'll protect her from unwanted advances elsewhere and provide for her financially for the rest of her life.

Fanny accepts his offer, despite several vehement objections, truly that desperate to be safe from Mr. Crawford and to help her afflicted cousin.

There is one rule by which Fanny must abide, but Tom imagines he's in safe enough hands with her.

After all, Fanny, trustworthy and constant, would never break faith with anyone, never flout anybody's rules. (But what if, one night, she does?)

    Summary

The Bennet sisters had a lot to write about in the two years after they married, including some quite unexpected news from their parents.

UPDATE January 8 2024: The letters are now finished! Thank you so much to everyone who read and/or commented, it was much appreciated to hear from people who liked hanging out with the characters as much as I did.

    Summary

The marriage of convenience fic no one asked for.

The morning after the Netherfield Ball, while Mr Collins is proposing to Elizabeth, Mr Bennet collapses. With her father unconscious and apparently near death, her mother pressuring her to marry Mr Collins, and the gentleman himself ignoring her protests, suddenly saying 'no' is not so easy. Faced with poverty and homelessness if she continues refusing, the gossip soon reaches Netherfield that she will have to marry Mr Collins. Just as Mr Darcy is about to mount his horse and follow Mr Bingley to London, never to return, he overhears the servants talking. The thought of Elizabeth married to a fool like Mr Collins is unbearable to him, and he resolves to make her a better offer. But, when she refuses him, he finds that he's willing to do anything for love - even marry her without the hope of being with her.

    Summary

Anne Elliot is called to Bath following the death of her father. Unwilling to ask her sisters for help and bereft of a position after the death of her employer, an unexpected windfall gives her the latitude to do something she hasn't done in years: what she wants. As she settles into Lyme society, dodges offers from her cousin to "manage her finances," and makes new friends, Anne rediscovers who she is without the demands of others on her shoulder. She's not about to let anyone interfere with her newfound serenity, not even an old flame.
Or: The Crofts never rented Kellynch so Anne and Wentworth never met up again. At thirty-three, Anne finally has the money to decide her own future. Fate hasn't given up on her though and it's only a matter of time before Wentworth returns.
