When you move into your recently-passed grandparent's house, you find an old antique alcohol cabinet in the old cellar that you decide to repurpose as your display case for your One Piece figurines. Unfortunately, the cabinet is locked, but when you end up finding the key that unlocks it and put your Law figurine in there as a test, closing and locking the cabinet, you don't expect to hear a sudden and light *thump* inside..... last you checked, nothing was alive in there....

Summary
A laugh sputtered out behind the Salt of Solidarity. A low, dark one, deep with an evil that could not be killed with a blade. It was a type of laugh that was knowing, victorious somehow, even as its strength seemed to flicker out, as its source’s head began to loll forward once again, the spine of It curving down until It was held up only by the chains restricting It. It was limp, yet It kept laughing, and in that moment, Salt saw why this being was despised.
Beast-Yeast wasn't the first. Nor were the Beasts, or even the Witches. Long, long before all of that, was a virtual world that had fractured into millions of infinitesimal pieces, traces the Fount of Knowledge had been studying for some time. Finally, he's found the last remaining piece of it, and it's much larger than he'd ever assumed: a piece of the Banlands, made to contain the last breathing remnant of a world long gone.
Hate is not a fruit born without reason, and before long, the Salt of Solidarity finds himself yearning for a being that promises the destruction of all he once held dear, but that being knows, deep down, that it won't be long until he becomes familiar with the burn of hatred too.

Nightmare's life is great. He's one of the most powerful threats in the multiverse, despite the Star Sanses' (often failed) attempts to stop him. He destroys AU's on a weekly basis, feeding on their negative energy. And when he's not out causing chaos, he's at home either taking care of paperwork or taking care of his four boys. Nightmare has everything. A home. A purpose. A family.
He should be happy.
But he's not.
He can't be. At least, not until his brother pays for what he did to Nightmare all those centuries ago. The only thing standing in the way of his revenge is Dream’s positive magic. Thanks to some help from a potion Sci made, Nightmare can finally fix that pesky little problem.
Unfortunately, that problem isn’t the only thing that’s little now.
