Summary
“Why did you come out here?”
Kuramochi looks instantly exhausted by the question alone, but he still steps forward to drape a towel over Kazuya’s head and place a hand on his shoulder. “Just don’t work yourself too hard,” he murmurs, just quiet enough that their surrounding teammates won’t hear him. “You smell like shit.”
Kazuya is sure everyone hears the second part, though.
Or, Kazuya always pushes himself, but Kuramochi is there to ground him.

Summary
There exist indisputable facts in the world whose validity no one would bother to argue unless they wanted to look like an idiot. Facts such as the sky is blue. Water consists of two hydrogen, one oxygen. A triangle has three sides.
And Kuramochi Youichi has no friends.
Kuramochi had put friendship above baseball once before in his life, and that had resulted in a heartbreaking betrayal. Intending to start anew at Seidou with baseball now at the top of his priorities, Kuramochi closes himself off from those around him, but soon learns from his batchmates that baseball and companionship don't need to be two mutually exclusive things.
