Against all odds, Rex did not vanish after Wyldstyle went to find Emmet. Yes, he's angry about it, but there's nothing he can do. Emmet suggests that he redeems himself, so he can become friends with everyone again. It seemed like such an easy thing to do, and he even had a suggestion of who to talk to.
... It's been a day and Rex is sure that this wasn't what Emmet was expecting to happen.
