Summary
According to the witch tradition, Kiyoomi is required to settle into a new town on his own the day after his 20th birthday. He decides to land with his broom and cat Jiji in a port city, where he is welcomed by the lovely bakery owner and her twins.
There Kiyoomi sets up a strict routine, meticulously disrupted by many new experiences. From learning how to deal with the stormy stress of his delivery service, to sensing the calming ocean air on his skin and curly hair, it all leads Kiyoomi to discover how love can rise in him like a high tide.

“What are you doing?”
“Yer the god of the underworld!” He says excitedly, as if that was enough answer and for him, it is. “Say, is yer place as dark and gloomy as they say?”

The only tradition that seemed to stay was their family meal on Christmas. And Kiyoomi was fine with that. It wasn’t the winter holidays that Motoya would tell him about his family’s holiday plans, but that was fine. The older Kiyoomi got, the more he began to prefer the quietness of the emptiness of his home.
