Summary
The conference had been, as always, terribly drawn-out and went on longer into the night than it was meant to go.
Lan Xichen had found himself defending his own actions and his clan about as much as he expected, so leaving the hall to take breaks was out of the question. Even if he had a breather between being insulted and questioned, he knows he’d still be ridiculed for leaving, however so briefly, whispers of him needing to gather his composure or jokes about how perhaps he’s entering another seclusion and won’t be seen for another three years.
This meant that he had to urinate badly.
