Summary
They both knew it was goodbye that night in Suchdol. Henry had saved them all, though the one person he could not save was himself.
Hans Capon tried to move on. He had buried his secret lover with his own two hands, though the grave in Skalitz defied all notions of logic. Flowers never withered. Candles placed on that soil never burned down.
Stranger still, a curse had befallen Rattay. A never ending rain and unexplainable happenings leaving townsfolk missing, dead or changed. When Heinrich befriended a raven with an uncanny intelligence and a penchant for showing up at the worst of times - what more could he see but an omen of death?

Summary
It all began with that fucking peasant.
Hans Capon, a noble used to the finer things in life, never guessed a blacksmith’s boy could unsettle him so completely. Henry’s defiance was matched only by the weight of his grief. He possessed an unyielding fire that refused to bow before insufferable lords, no matter how handsome they were.
Hate was supposed to be simple. Instead, the more they tried to hate each other, the more the both of them couldn't.
(KCD1 - Very much enemies, to lovers.)

He was just a dog. What was he to do, except love his human? That, he could do! But then, what was he to do when his human loved another? Love him, too, of course!

Summary
Back in Prague, the sophisticated Black Bartosch had suffered from an abundance of lovers. Though here in Trosky, there was naught but loneliness and drought. For a formerly decorated tourney champion and soldier of Prague's very own Royal Garrison, the provincial little town seemed a backwater by comparison.
Henry of Skalitz had made for a wonderful divergence from Bartosch's woes when he'd arrived in Trosky. Though when his hopes for a fling are unfortunately dashed by that toff Capon, the only benefit is that the reserved Captain Thomas is spurred into action.
And what did Thomas expect? That the worldly and handsome Bartosch would remain here and unclaimed in Trosky forever? He'd surely been a fool when he'd called time on their fleeting romance. Does he have time to win his Black Cat back?
**
This story kicks off on the eve before Nebakov. Minimal Henry and Hans mentioned. This tale is about Thomas and Bartosch.
