Summary
It was happening, this was his year. The Horizon festival was his life, his tradition, his purpose for as long as he had been alive. He had grown up watching his father and Maverick race down Abbey roads, edging it out against their competition, turning through corners, and cementing themselves as staples of Horizon racing. They had both headed outposts for the festival before; his father, Goose, king of the dirt, lover of the trails with his Bronco, Maverick with his sleek motorcars preferring drags and night calls, and his mother Carole not far behind, in the air or in the announcers booth with Bradley on her lap. It had shaped him into the man he was. Learning to race, becoming one with his car, it felt as close to freedom as you could get. And this year, finally, much to the chagrin of Mav, he's heading the cross-country outpost, following in his dad’s footsteps.

This is heavily inspired by the video game Forza Horizon 5 but the storyline is entirely my own! All locations are based on the in-game map not a real life map of Mexico so I am basing my locations off that, the scale is a little unrealistic so racing across the country is not as big of a task as it actually is.

Summary
The A is late again. The unfortunate reality of working late and missing his usual train is setting in as he kicks a crumpled receipt in the empty subway terminal on Fulton Street. Jake doesn’t mind waiting, hell, ever since he moved to New York all those years ago, all he’s done is go, with no regard for a break or a breather. But internally, he mourns the loss of his evening eye candy.
