    Why did he have to keep pushing? Blitzø clearly didn’t want to talk to him, and why should he? Stolas was not worth anyone’s time and attention.

    Pathetic. Disgusting. Unwanted.

    Tears poured down his face, and his breath came in short gasps as his mind consumed him so completely that he almost missed the sound of his custom ringtone for Blitzø. He was calling Stolas; he never called.

    His hand shook as he answered the call, forcing himself to sound calm. “Hello?”

    Four times Blitzø unknowingly comforted Stolas, and the one time he did know.

    “Yes, and it's fine I’m not going anywhere. I don’t care who the fucker is that knocked you up, that piece of shit doesn’t matter, I’m going to be the father.” Blitzø took one of Stolas’ hands into his. “Let me be there for you both.”

    Blitzø finds a pregnancy test in the trash and assumes it’s Stolas’. Determined to prove he can step up and be the father, he sets out to show Stolas he’s ready for the responsibility.

    Of course, the test isn’t Stolas’—but the mix-up ends up bringing the two closer together.
