“That was total bullshit, back there.”
The group had not long since dissipated, drunkenly stumbling back to their respective dorm rooms. Kai was sprawled on his bed, tapping away at a mindless mobile game on his phone. His thumb froze in mid-air, and he swallowed. Taehyun was changing into his pajamas, swiftly pulling his ribbed tank top over his head and replacing it with an old, ratty t-shirt.
“What?”
“The kiss thing. You lied about it”
“Um — ”
Taehyun shrugged, throwing himself down on the bed. Without make-up on and overall styling, he looked exceptionally beautiful. Not that he didn’t look beautiful all the time, but there was just something … different about how real he looked all-natural. He looked, well, human. He looked like Taehyun. He usually waxed his arms, just for ridiculous beauty standards sake, but wispy dark hairs littered his forearms, lit only by the lamplight. Kai played with the drawstring of his pajama pants, twirling one string around his thumb.
“I mean, it’s fine. I just don’t understand why.”
Kai has never kissed anyone before. He starts to think that maybe he wants Taehyun to be his first, and an identity crisis ensues.

“I feel like I’m missing out, though. I mean, since the hyungs are so enthusiastic about it,” Kai says, thumbing at the hem of Taehyun’s shirt. “What’s it like? Kissing?”
And that’s—not at all what Taehyun had expected Kai to say. But he just wants advice from someone who understands him, someone who’s a little more experienced than him. Taehyun should be able to manage that, right?
The thing is: Taehyun doesn’t exactly fit the job description.
“Um,” he says. Don’t mess this up, don’t mess this up, don’t mess this up. “Good, I guess.”
