Wherein Dean makes a hefty living as a tattoo artist who owns the space next to Gabriel's cafe. Sam attends the local university. When Gabe's cousin comes to live with him while starting grad school at Sam's university, Dean thinks for sure that all his negative karma's coming to bite him in the ass because Cas clearly has a thing for Sam. No one would ever choose him over Sam. That's just logic.

Summary
clancy is overthinking, and he overcompensates by pulling the blankets all the way over his head. as a kid he made forts in his bed to weather rainy days; this one does nothing to stop the clouds gathering at the corners of his eyes.
the first tear is silent to no one’s surprise, and the next, and the next. he’s gotten better at these breakdowns since his last stay with the banditos, now donning the mask of their strongest martyr. clancy was so brave, tyler must be braver still to become him.
or, clancy’s first night back with the banditos is not going well.
