Dunk shook his head, his words sticking in his throat. “It’s better this way.”
Suddenly, Aerion reached out, snagging the collar of Dunk’s leathers and yanking him closer.
“A word of advice, Ser Duncan,” he whispered against Dunk’s mouth. “Be careful when you think things are finished.”
He paused, a cruel light dancing in his eyes.

Before he was Dunk the lunk, thick as a castle wall, he was a dragon with no name. Magic turned that dragon into human and Dunk was left to figure out the rest on his own.
Aerion had been elated when dragons had been found again. While he did not bond with the two that had been brought back, he knew for a fact that there was one more out there that was his. One with brass scales and blue eyes.
